Complete rebuilt of:

International America's Cup Class (IACC) boats - NZL39 & GBR52

Apr/May 2005 - Kiel/Germany

Pictures (c) Jens "Ali" Algrim

Function: In charge of complete rebuilt IACC NZL39.

In two months on both boats all the deck gear, grinding system, hydraulics, electrics and electronics, standing rigging, mast, ropes etc. was stripped, serviced and installed again. Boats were sanded and painted (deck paint and anti-fouling). Engines were installed, too.

Useful hints ;-)

                      1. Don't do it outside, during coldest spring since 15 years.

                      2. You need more than three helpers. (Many thanks to great guys:Ali, Stephan and Mathias)

                      3. 12 or 14 hours a day, everyday for a month and a half will make you tired.

How we started... (just a few sunny and warm days) - 6th Apr 2005

...and splash (25th May 2005)
